Terms of Service
These terms govern your family's participation in Love to Code Academy programs. We have written them to be clear and honest — because the relationship between our academy and your family is built on trust, and that starts here.
About Love to Code Academy
Love to Code Academy LLC ("LTCA," "we," "our") is a youth enrichment program offering after-school coding, robotics, and esports instruction with a focus on character development. We are located at 248 NE Barry Road, Kansas City, MO 64155. By enrolling your child in any LTCA program, you agree to these terms.
Enrollment
Enrollment is confirmed upon receipt of a completed enrollment form and payment of applicable fees. Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis. LTCA reserves the right to place students on a waitlist when program capacity is reached.
A parent or legal guardian must complete enrollment on behalf of any student under 18. By enrolling, the parent or guardian confirms they have the authority to do so and that all information provided is accurate.
Tuition and Fees
Program fees are due as outlined at the time of enrollment. LTCA accepts payment by credit card, debit card, and other methods made available through our enrollment platform.
Specific refund and cancellation terms are provided at enrollment and may vary by program type (after-school, camp, competition team). Please review your enrollment confirmation for the terms applicable to your program. Questions about billing can be directed to us at 816-479-2880.
Student Code of Conduct
Love to Code Academy is a community built on our four character pillars: Relationships, Responsibility, Purpose, and Leadership. Every student is expected to:
- Treat fellow students, instructors, and staff with respect
- Take responsibility for their own behavior and learning
- Support and encourage their teammates
- Handle equipment and academy property with care
- Follow instructor directions and academy guidelines
- Demonstrate good sportsmanship in all competitive activities
Behavior that is disruptive, disrespectful, or unsafe will be addressed through our coaching process. LTCA reserves the right to suspend or dismiss a student whose behavior is incompatible with our community values. In cases of dismissal, a prorated refund of unused session fees will be issued.
Photo and Media Release
LTCA may photograph or video students during sessions, belt promotions, camps, and events. By enrolling, parents or guardians grant LTCA permission to use these images and recordings in program materials, our website, and social media for purposes of promoting the academy and celebrating student achievement — unless written objection is provided at enrollment or submitted to us in writing at any time. We will never sell images of your child or use them in any context unrelated to LTCA.
Health and Safety
Parents and guardians are responsible for disclosing any medical conditions, allergies, or special needs that may affect their child's participation. LTCA staff are not licensed medical providers and cannot administer medication.
In the event of a medical emergency, LTCA staff will contact emergency services and the parent or guardian on file. By enrolling, you authorize LTCA to seek emergency medical care for your child if we are unable to reach you and immediate care is necessary.
Drop-Off and Pick-Up
Students must be picked up by an authorized adult at the end of each session. LTCA will not release a student to any person not listed as an authorized pickup contact without prior written authorization from the enrolling parent or guardian. Students who have not been picked up within 15 minutes of session end will prompt a call to all emergency contacts on file.
Limitation of Liability
LTCA takes every reasonable precaution to maintain a safe and supportive environment. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Love to Code Academy LLC, its instructors, staff, and agents shall not be liable for any injury, loss, or damage arising from a student's participation in LTCA programs, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct. This limitation applies to both in-person and any online program components.
Program Changes and Cancellations
LTCA reserves the right to modify program schedules, instructors, locations, or content to maintain program quality. We will provide advance notice of any significant changes. In the event LTCA cancels a program entirely, enrolled families will receive a full refund of fees paid for the cancelled sessions.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. Any disputes arising from enrollment in LTCA programs shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Clay County, Missouri.
Updates to These Terms
LTCA may update these terms periodically. The current version will always be posted at this URL. Enrolled families will be notified of material changes. Continued enrollment after updated terms are posted constitutes acceptance.
