Near Kansas City Schools

Love to Code Academy serves K–8 students across the Kansas City Northland and metro area — building real coding skills, robotics experience, and the character traits that determine long-term success.

After-School Programs at Love to Code Academy meet weekly throughout the school year, giving K–8 students a structured environment where skills and character grow together. Every week, the same coaches work with the same students — building real relationships alongside real projects. Students earn belt advancements as they develop in coding, robotics, or esports, and parents consistently notice that growth carrying into home and school. Why Families Choose LTCA

More than a coding class. A place kids grow.

Most after-school programs hand kids a screen and call it enrichment. LTCA is built differently.

Every program at Love to Code Academy is built around one conviction: technology is the training ground, and character development is the outcome. Students do not just learn to code, build robots, or compete in esports. They learn persistence when a build breaks at the worst moment. They learn teamwork when the project requires more than one person to solve. They learn what it means to lead when younger students are watching.

The belt system makes that growth visible. Nine levels from white belt to black belt, each one representing a named identity, a stage of development, and a demonstrated set of character traits that coaches can observe, name, and measure. Parents across the Kansas City metro consistently describe the same thing: they started for the coding, and stayed for the person their child was becoming.

LTCA is located at 248 NE Barry Road in Kansas City, about fifteen minutes from most Northland communities. Every student starts at white belt. No prior experience required.

Kansas City Families Ask

Common Questions From KC-Area Parents

Where is Love to Code Academy located?

Love to Code Academy is located at 248 NE Barry Road, Kansas City, MO 64155. The facility sits in the Northland, accessible from most Kansas City metro communities within 15 to 25 minutes. Families from Liberty, Gladstone, Parkville, Riverside, Smithville, Kearney, Platte City, and North Kansas City all attend regularly.

What grades do you serve in the Kansas City area?

LTCA serves students in kindergarten through 8th grade. Every new student begins at the white belt level regardless of prior experience. The program is designed to meet students where they are and grow them from there. A kindergartner with no coding experience and a 7th grader who already builds projects independently both have a path at LTCA.

Which programs are available at the Kansas City location?

All three LTCA program tracks are available: coding, robotics, and esports. Each is built on the same character framework and belt system, so students develop persistence, teamwork, integrity, and leadership regardless of which track they choose. Programs run as after-school sessions, week-long camps, and competition teams.

How do I know which program is right for my child?

Most families start with a free trial class in the track their child is most curious about. Coding attracts kids who like to design and problem-solve independently. Robotics tends to appeal to kids who want to build physical things and work in teams. Esports draws students who are already gaming and want to compete with structure and purpose behind it. All three develop the same character outcomes. The track is the vehicle. The growth is the destination.
